Tickle Cove
Newfoundland , Canada
There may not be another place like this, a Canadian coastal treasure, to be sure.
Raw, red, rugged, coastline, with its solemn sea arch, perky pinched, peaks formed by the salt sea, pounded by waves through eons of time. The highland hills surround, a glacial torn mirrored fresh water lake, with a board walk around it, to showoff a picturesque island. Sit down awhile, and you can take in the wild life all around, like elk, moose, beaver, loons, eagles, on the lush land. The sea brings forth, a feast of fine fish, local lobster, crawling crab, and humpback whales, not a plentiful as it they once were, are still to be found out there, in the crystal clear sea. The ol' fishermen yearning to ply their trade, are happy to showoff the little place, they call home. Warm hearted, friendly residents, scattered over the rocky rouge, harbour hillside, are older now, but could not imagine living anywhere else. It is home, not of traffic lights, nor rush hour jams, or the wail of sirens. It is home to the quiet times, the warm fires, the social neighbors, the local gatherings,
a home around the cove. - Tickle Cove
I hope time will preserve this little corner of the world, we called home, that brief moment in time, for other souls to enjoy.
